A path among the historic buildings of Trento.
Behind the apse of the Cathedral, walk along via Calepina, admiring its elegant buildings (among the notable is the Palazzo Sardagna, with two statues of giants to support the balcony, former seat of the Tridentine Museum of Natural Sciences, and Palazzo Lodron, internally frescoed).
Nearby is also the sixteenth-century Church of the SS. Trinity and Palazzo Roccabruna, with inside the Chapel of San Gerolamo and the adjacent Tower of Massarello.
Continuing along via Mazzini, you pass in front of the late baroque Palazzo Larcher Fogazzaro arriving at Piazza Fiera. The big square shaped piazza is bordered to the east by the Archbishop's Palace, to the north by the thirteenth century Vanghiane Walls, and to the west by Madruzziano Tower. It takes its name from the fact that at one time there were annual fairs of animals, while now it is the seat of the Christmas markets.
