MUSE – THE SCIENCE MUSEUM OF TRENTO

The MUSE of Trento is a dream that is realized, that of an active, memorable place, on the model of science centers and international museums with multimedia exhibits, interactive games, experimentation in the first person and an intertwining of “knowing” with “doing”. The MUSE opens to the public, within the urban redevelopment area of the Le Albere District, on 27 July 2013.

MUSEO DIOCESIANO TRIDENTINO

The building in which the Diocesan Tridentine Museum is located, commonly called Palazzo Pretorio, was the residence of the bishops of Trento from the early Middle Ages. After a radical restoration, aimed at recovering the ancient Romanesque façade, and the restoration of the building, in 1963 the building was used as the permanent home of the Tridentine Diocesan Museum.

CASTELLO DEL BUONCONSIGLIO

The Castello del Buonconsiglio is the largest and most important monumental complex of the Trentino Alto Adige region. From the thirteenth century until the end of the eighteenth century the residence of the bishops of Trento, it is composed of a series of buildings of different ages, enclosed within a walled enclosure in a slightly elevated position with respect to the city.

CASTEL BESENO

Castel Beseno occupies an entire hilltop overlooking the Valle dell’Adige, between Rovereto and Trento, and can be reached via Besenello. It is home to temporary exhibitions, cultural events and costumed shows, which have as an exceptional setting the vast Tournament Field, which has now become a precious and well-kept garden.

CASTEL THUN

Castel Thun was built in the mid-thirteenth century.and it was the seat of the powerful Thun family, who owned other prestigious residences in the valleys of Non and di Sole. The castle is located on top of a hill at 609 m. near the town of Vigo di Ton in a beautiful panoramic position, surrounded by a complex system of fortifications.

MONTE BONDONE

Immediately to the west of Trento, the Monte Bondone complex exceeds two thousand meters of altitude and is home to a nature reserve, an important alpine botanical garden (Le Viote) and the Alpine Ecology Center. The mountain is also at the center of intense winter skiing activities, and often of cycling and motoring competitions in the summer.

VALLE DEI LAGHI

The Valle dei Laghi is a precious heritage since ancient times and one of the main access routes to Trentino.The Valley contains notable evidence of its five thousand years of history: from archaeological finds to ancient castles (ToblinoMadruzzoTerlago and Drena) and to noble villas. There are also many churches and evocative sanctuaries arranged along the valley.
